The New York Credit Union Association’s two-day Collections & Bankruptcy Conference is designed to teach attendees how to tackle some of the most difficult member-issues affecting credit unions.
During the first day of the conference, session topics will focus on collections issues. On day two, attendees will dive into credit union-specific bankruptcy topics.

About the Presenter:
Franklin Drake, Partner, Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers
Franklin Drake has been a partner in the Raleigh, North Carolina law firm of Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers since 1994, following a sixteen year practice specializing in creditor's rights, bankruptcy, and repossession law in Louisville, Kentucky.There, he was Senior Vice-President of William Mapother's law firm. Mr. Drake graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1975 with a B.A. with honors and with his law degree in 1978. He has practiced in North Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia and the federal courts of southern Indiana.
For the last 30 years, he has lectured regularly at practical training courses, bankruptcy and regulatory compliance programs and webinars. His articles on the practical application of laws and regulations to credit union procedures have appeared in state bar magazines, nationally distributed newsletters and on the Internet. He especially enjoys guiding his clients around compliance pitfalls and how NOT to get sued.
A refund of the amount paid, less an $90 administrative fee per registrant, will be given for all cancellations submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org ten or more business days prior to the start of the session. No refunds will be granted if the cancellation is received after that time frame. Substitutes will be accepted any time prior to the start of the program at no additional cost. Simply email an updated registration form, listing the new participant and who they will be replacing.
