AWARD CATEGORIES

Outstanding Young Professional
Outstanding young professionals further the credit union "people helping people" philosophy every day. As the next generation of credit union leaders, they demonstrate their passion for credit unions through hard work, dedication, success and engagement in the credit union movement.

Guidelines/eligibility: Paid employees of Association member credit unions, age 39 and younger, may be nominated for this award. New York Credit Union Association employees, board members, awards committee members and award winners from the three previous years are not eligible for nomination.

Outstanding Volunteer
Outstanding volunteers exemplify commitment to their credit unions and are true "stars" in their credit unions. Throughout their tenure as volunteers, they have consistently embodied the "people helping people" philosophy and promoted the success of their credit unions and their members.

Guidelines/eligibility: Unpaid credit union directors, credit committee members or supervisory committee members at Association member credit unions may be nominated. New York Credit Union Association employees, board members and awards committee members, as well as award winners from the three previous years, are not eligible for nomination.

New York Credit Union Hall of Fame Inductee
New York Credit Union Hall of Fame members have devoted their lives to the philosophy and success of the credit union movement, and they have made a significant impact on credit unions at the local, state and/or national levels. Their life efforts have been instrumental in improving and promoting credit unions and the credit union movement.

Guidelines/eligibility: Hall of Fame nominees must have been affiliated with Association member credit unions.

Nominees may still serve in a voluntary capacity with a credit union, but they are not required to be currently involved at the state or national level. Individuals may also be honored posthumously. New York Credit Union Association employees, board members and awards committee members are not eligible for nomination.

**Hall of Fame nominations that are not selected this year will automatically be considered for future recognition. Resubmission is no longer required.

Individual nomination form
All Individual Recognition Award nomination entries must be completed and finalized by submitting an Individual Nomination Form. This form can be emailed to Member Relations at member.relations@nycua.org or printed and mailed with substantiating documentation to the New York Credit Union Association, 1021 Watervliet-Shaker Rd, Albany, NY  12205.

Important Dates
January 14: Nomination form submission deadline
Early February: Individual Recognition Award winners notified
Mid-February: Credit Union Recognition Award winners notified
June 14: Individual and Credit Union Recognition Award winners honored at Convention.
