William J. Mellin
President/Chief Executive Officer
William J. Mellin is the president and chief executive officer of the New York Credit Union Association. He is responsible for overseeing the Association and its affiliated entities, including OwnersChoice Funding, UsNet and the New York Credit Union Foundation.
He serves on the board of directors of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), the Credit Union Service Corporation and League InfoSight Corporation.
Prior to being appointed CEO, William was the senior vice president and chief operating officer of OwnersChoice Funding.
A native of New York, William grew up in the New York City metropolitan area. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts.
Ronald D. McLean
SVP, Chief Engagement Officer
Ron McLean is the senior vice president and Chief Engagement Officer of the New York Credit Union Association. In this role, he leads the credit union relations team and manages the organization's relationship with its members, chapters and strategic business partners.
He joined the New York Credit Union Association in 1994 and previously served as vice president in the Association's executive office, assisting the president/CEO in executing the goals and objectives of the Association and its affiliates. Prior to his appointment to Chief Engagement Officer, Ron served as Chief Marketing Officer of the Association.
Ron began his career at State Street Bank & Trust in Quincy, Massachusetts, and later joined Putnam Investments in Boston. He graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor of Science degree and received his M.B.A. from the College of Saint Rose.
Edward W. Kovalefsky
SVP Consolidated League Services
Edward W. Kovalefsky is the senior vice president of Consolidated League Services, and he previously served as chief operating officer of OwnersChoice Funding—the New York Credit Union Association’s residential mortgage company that serves credit unions and their members in multiple states.
Prior to joining the Association in 1993 as chief financial officer, Ed was a partner with a regional public accounting firm and the vice president/controller of a publicly traded insurance company. During his career, Ed has been actively involved in supporting various civic and not-for-profit organizations. He currently serves as chairman of the La Salle Institute board of trustees.
Ed graduated summa cum laude from the University at Albany with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
Kristina M. Oliver, CPA
SVP and Chief Financial Officer
Kristina Oliver joined the New York Credit Union Association in 1992 and was appointed chief financial officer in 2005. She is responsible for overseeing the finances-including the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and audits-of the Association and its affiliated entities, which include OwnersChoice Funding, UsNet and the New York Credit Union Foundation.
Prior to her appointment to CFO, Kristina served as controller of the Association. In this role, she was responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the Association and its affiliated entities.
Kristina is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A cum laude graduate of Siena College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, she previously worked as an auditor with the public accounting firm Ernst & Young.
