This presentation will examine the current compensation environment in the credit union industry and different performance-based compensation strategies for salary increases, annual incentives, and long-term incentives. It will address the keys to effective, motivating, cash-incentive plans and what credit unions can use to reward key officers for long-term performance.

 

This session will integrate applicable regulatory guidelines and updates surrounding incentive-based pay. It will review executive retirement plans used by credit unions. In addition, market data from industry surveys and Blanchard Consulting Group’s internal databases will be incorporated throughout.

Speaker: Jeff Fairchild, Blanchard Consulting Group


Jeff Fairchild is the Senior Vice President and lead consultant at Blanchard Consulting Group. Previously, Jeff served as the SVP and managing director of Newcleus Compensation Advisors. He has consulted with compensation committees, boards of directors, and senior executives on executive and director compensation practices since 2010. He assists clients in developing cash and equity annual and long-term incentive plans and provides analysis and guidance to ensure market-aligned pay and proper salary grade structures. Jeff graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration followed by receiving an MBA from Mercer University. He has worked in various industries including energy, medical devices, pharmaceutical, legal, and financial services.
