NYCUA’s Mellin Congratulates Adrienne A. Harris on appointment as DFS superintendent

The New York state Senate has confirmed Adrienne A. Harris as Superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services.

 

Following her confirmation, New York Credit Union Association President/CEO William J. Mellin issued the following statement:

The New York Credit Union Association, on behalf of the state’s 300+ credit unions, congratulates Adrienne A. Harris on being confirmed as the new superintendent of the Department of Financial Services. NYCUA and our members look forward to working with the superintendent to expand services to the underserved and protect financial products vital to over 6 million New Yorkers. Together, we can create a well-balanced regulatory environment that encourages economic growth while protecting the financial security of New York families.
