Green Lending Resources
Since their inception, credit unions have always sought to provide innovative loans and credit access that benefit the membership and serve a greater good. Solar and other types of clean-energy lending offer credit unions unique opportunities to support a burgeoning industry, provide an important member service, and significantly expand loan portfolios and volume.
The New York Credit Union Association has been working with Inclusiv, as well as the New York State Department of Financial Services and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to raise awareness about the clean energy lending resources available to credit unions in New York. For your credit union’s convenience, the Association has compiled the following resources. Additional resources and tools will be added periodically as they become available.
- UNH Solar Lending Professional Training - Virtual Series
- Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office
- Inclusiv’s Introduction to Solar Finance
- NYSERDA-DFS June 10 Webinar: Clean Energy Financing for Community and Regional Banks
- DFS letter on Climate Change and Financial Risks
- NYSERDA Information for Lenders
- NYSERDA: How to Make a Loan Frequently Asked Questions
- NYSERDA Small Business Financing
