Thank you for your interest in our annual Individual Recognition Awards! Each year, we are pleased to honor New York credit union professionals and volunteer leaders who make a powerful impact on their credit unions, members and communities.
The nomination period for the 2024 Individual Recognition Awards has closed for 2024.
Award Categories
Outstanding Young Professional
Outstanding young professionals further the credit union "people helping people" philosophy every day. As the next generation of credit union leaders, they demonstrate their passion for credit unions through hard work, dedication, success and engagement in the credit union movement.
Guidelines/eligibility: Paid employees of Association member credit unions, age 39 and younger, may be nominated for this award. New York Credit Union Association employees, awards committee members and award winners from the three previous years are not eligible for nomination.
Outstanding Professional
Outstanding professionals further the credit union "people helping people" philosophy every day. They demonstrate their passion for credit unions through hard work, dedication and success.
Guidelines/eligibility: Paid employees of Association member credit unions may be nominated. New York Credit Union Association employees, awards committee members and award winners from the three previous years are not eligible for nomination.
Outstanding Volunteer
Outstanding volunteers exemplify commitment to their credit unions and are true "stars" in their credit unions. Throughout their tenure as volunteers, they have consistently embodied the "people helping people" philosophy and promoted the success of their credit unions and their members.
Guidelines/eligibility: Unpaid credit union directors, credit committee members or supervisory committee members at Association member credit unions may be nominated. New York Credit Union Association employees, awards committee members, as well as award winners from the three previous years, are not eligible for nomination.
Hall of Fame
Members of the New York Credit Union Association Hall of Fame are individuals that have devoted their lives to the philosophy and success of the credit union movement, and have made a significant impact on credit unions at the local, state and/or national levels. Much of their life’s efforts have been instrumental in improving and promoting credit unions and the credit union movement.
Hall of Fame inductees must have been a member of a credit union affiliated with the Association. Inductees may include both professional and volunteer leaders. Association employees and awards committee members are not eligible for induction.
The New York Credit Union Hall of Fame Inductees will be selected directly by the Recognition Awards committee.

March 18 : Nomination form submission deadline
Early April: Individual Recognition Award winners notified
June 15: Individual Award winners honored at EXCEL 24, the New York Credit Union Association's Annual Meeting & Convention
