Gwyneth J. Borden, Founder/CEO of Remynt, started her career on Capitol Hill and has worked across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Her experience spans diverse organizations, from IBM to startups and trade associations. As the founder and CEO of Remynt, Gwyneth aims to establish a new category in debt resolution known as credit recovery, drawing on her experience of misaligned incentives in the debt recovery landscape and the lack of focus on financial wellness.
Since founding Remynt, Gwyneth has garnered recognition for her achievements. She was selected for 1871 BMO WMNfintech (2025), Village Capital ADAPT: Social Innovation for a More Resilient Future in the United States Program (2024), Berkeley SkyDeck Pad-13 (2023-2024), All Raise’s Black and Latinx Media Mastery program (2023), Braze for Black Founders (2023), and a SVB x Luminary Fellowship (2022). Under her leadership, Remynt has received several accolades, including being named Rising Star Startup by the Founder Institute for the US and Canada in 2023 and winning Money2020’s America’s Got Access pitch competition in 2022. Additionally, Remynt secured victory in the Visa Everywhere Black Edition in 2023 and earned a Best in Show award at Finovate Spring 2024. The company also placed third in the SVB x StartupOS pitch competition at AfroTech in 2023 and the Harvard Business School New Black Venture Competition in 2024. Furthermore, Remynt was a finalist at the XTC x CES pitch competition in 2023 and the USA Women in Payments Unicorn Challenge (2024).
Gwyneth is an alumnus of Dickinson College and further enhanced her skills by completing a certificate program at the Haas School of Business, titled "Berkeley Fintech: Frameworks, Applications, and Strategies," in 2022.
Bill Bywater is Chief Operating Officer of the Association Service Corporation. His responsibilities include overseeing OwnersChoice Funding Incorporated, Universal Sharing Network, Inc. (UsNet) and the Association’s Business Partners. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing annual and long-term business plans, meeting strategic objectives and overseeing all aspects of the daily operations in these areas.
Bill joined the New York Credit Union Association as a senior auditor in 1999 and was named audit manager in 2000. In 2002, he assumed the role of director of operations for the New York State Shared Service Centers, now known as UsNet. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer of UsNet in 2015, named Senior Vice President in 2020 and Chief Operating Officer of the Association Service Corporation in 2023.
Prior to joining the organization, Bill served as an accountant and auditor under General Electric’s Financial Management program. A graduate of Hofstra University, Bill holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and banking.
James Chemplavil is the Founder and CEO of Salus, the digital platform helping credit unions turn Gen Z into members for life by powering the products they want. Lenders using the Salus microloan platform have issued over $2 million in microloans to 14,000 sub-prime borrowers, saving them over $1.7 million in fees and interest versus costlier, predatory alternatives. Prior to founding Salus, James spent 16 years at Barings underwriting over $10 billion in high-risk corporate debt through multiple credit cycles, including the Great Financial Crisis. In addition to his work in credit, James has focused his efforts on impacting the under-served as a board member of Classroom Central, a Charlotte-based nonprofit that supports lower-income students in the Charlotte area.
Joe Gillies got his start in the ATM industry in 1997 operating his own portfolio of ATMs. Handling all aspects of the operation from contract negotiation and installation to service and cash vaulting, provided Joe with the opportunity to learn the ATM business from the ground up.
After joining Access to Money in 2010, Gillies turned his focus to the credit union and community bank space, working with institutions in the Northeast to provide ATM outsourcing solutions. When Access to Money was acquired by Cardtronics in 2011, Gillies managed a sales team that sold their complete suite of ATM Solutions to financial institution clients across the country. These solutions included ATM outsourcing, the Allpoint Surcharge Free Network, retail ATM branding programs and LocatorSearch.
Still focusing on credit unions Joe spent 3 years as VP of Financial Institution Sales at OSG, a statement and critical communications provider. Joe joined the team at ATM Consultants / FI Logistix in January 2022.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, including her tenure at US Bank, Lisa is a seasoned banking advisor who specializes in fintech evaluation and go-to-market strategy across banking and technology industries. Her extensive background working with community financial institutions enables her to expertly assess financial technology solutions and guide their successful market entry and adoption. Known for her distinctive ability to translate complex financial services concepts into clear, actionable insights, Lisa excels at understanding the unique operational challenges facing community financial institutions while bridging the critical gap between cutting-edge technical innovation and practical banking applications.
As Executive Vice President of Sales and a member of PWCampbell’s Planning Committee, Glenn is charged with leading the business development team for the company and assisting clients through the re-imagination of their retail branch network. He also helps guide them through the construction process, from program and design development into post construction, ensuring quality and client satisfaction every step of the way.
A veteran banker himself, Glenn spent over 10 years in key management roles for Dollar Bank where he was responsible for twelve branch locations, managed 100 employees and oversaw assets of $2 billion. This experience, combined with his extensive knowledge in the design-build arena, makes him an authority on branching. Working with hundreds of banks and credit unions to optimize their retail branch network and operations space over the past two decades has enabled him to speak to the latest branching trends, methods to revitalize branch networks for peak performance and profitability, and optimum space planning for operational efficiency and future growth.
Glenn holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance, Management and Accounting, as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is licensed in commercial real estate. He is frequently asked to share his knowledge via speaking engagements with financial leagues and associations throughout the mid-Atlantic Region.
Chris Guild is the Director of Lending Solutions with TruStage. In this role, he is responsible for leading leaders and individuals who are dedicated to serving the lending and protection needs of credit unions and digital lenders. He is helping to influence and drive lending strategies in new and existing markets.
Guild began his TruStage career in 1996 as a Lending Specialist. He helped credit unions create lending efficiencies, protect members and loan portfolios, and drive revenue growth. Before accepting this current role, he held graduating roles in B2B sales, across many product areas, and various people leader roles in the sales organization.
Guild obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from Le Moyne College. He is a CUNA Management School graduate and recently completed an Executive Education course in Digital Transformation at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
Amy Kramer, Chief Advocacy Officer, New York Credit Union Association
In this key role, Amy works closely with our member credit unions, Association management, our Governmental Affairs Committee, FOCUS NY Trustees and the Association Board. She is supported by the full depth of knowledge and resources of Ostroff Associates, where she continues to serve as a Senior Vice President.
Previous to joining Ostroff Associates, Kramer was President-AT&T New York, where she led the company’s external and public affairs as well as regulatory and legislative agendas, strategic communications, sponsorship and foundation activities within the state of New York. In holding the top state legislative affairs position in New York State for 12 years, Kramer was responsible for developing strategies and plans for achieving AT&T’s legislative and community investment objectives, and led outreach to key elected officials and policymakers in the state to disseminate the company’s perspective on a range of issues. In addition, Kramer ensured that AT&T’s New York customers and public officials were always afforded the best possible service and partnership in the telecommunications and technology industries.
Prior to AT&T, Kramer was vice president, government affairs, at the Credit Union Association of New York, where for ten years she directed the organization’s political and grassroots programs, and led the association to achieve its legislative goals in New York and Washington, DC. In 1999, Kramer won a New York State Senate Graduate Fellowship, and served as a fellow and later as Legislative Coordinator.
Jeremy Newman, VP of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs, New York Credit Union Association
Jeremy Newman is Vice President of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs at the New York Credit Union Association, where he leads the legislative, regulatory, and compliance support initiatives for credit unions across New York and provides compliance support to OwnersChoice Funding, a licensed mortgage banker and servicer.
Jeremy is an experienced attorney and compliance professional with a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, legislative advocacy, risk management, and business operations having previously served as the managing director of a compliance consulting firm and as in house counsel at a large federal credit union.
Jeremy takes a pragmatic and collaborative approach to his work and is known for his ability to break down complex legislative and regulatory issues into clear, actionable strategies that drive sustainable success. And while this is serious business, he firmly believes there’s always room for a little humor along the way.
Zach Ogden joined the New York Credit Union Association in 2019. He works with credit unions across New York to promote the Association’s services, and assist in strategic planning and business development.
Zach has over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, primarily focusing on business development, lending, training and customer service. He understands the special relationship between credit unions and their members and enjoys working to help enhance and expand on those relationships.
Zach received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.
As an Executive Consultant at Alloya, Amy Piche works with around 80 credit unions in the eastern region of Alloya’s field of membership. She is responsible for the growth and development of new and existing credit union members by promoting and supporting the comprehensive product and service line and education efforts of the corporate and its credit union service organizations.
Amy has been in the financial solutions arena for more than 20 years, including her work as an Institutional Fixed Income Sales Representative with Alloya Investment Services from 2006-2024. In this role, she collaborated directly with CEOs and CFOs to expand their available investment options and realize their balance sheet strategies. Credit union decision makers regularly used her services, not only for their investment portfolio needs, but also to strengthen their overall balance sheet. Amy holds her Series 7 and 63 through ISI.
Canh Tran is the co-founder and CEO of Rippleshot, an AI-based fraud prevention platform that helps over 1,900 financial institutions proactively manage risk and prevent fraud through AI-based rapid risk detection. He and his team continue to push the limits of artificial intelligence to build the next generation of fraud tools to help financial institutions become strategically resilient. He has an MBA from Northwestern and a B.S. from the University of Maryland.
